The Weir

After many years of drought, our area finally got some decent rain and the river is now full. Not long after it overflowed, we went to the river to see it and i took some pics while i was there because it was so full of life. This was the first time during my lifetime that the river has been this full.
When we left the river, we went to the weir (which is part of the river). Normally, four of the six gates are up, but now that it has rained, only two need to be up for the same flow. The gates aren't pictured, but i am proud to say that my great-grandfather helped build them and supply our area with water.
